On behalf of Cenegenics Elite Health South Florida, the Boca Raton Resort & Club, and our new Enlightened Living initiative, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in our first annual Run with Heart 5K on Saturday, Feb. 15, benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of South Florida and the Lugos, a local family in need.

We’re thrilled to announce that we had more than 165 participants and raised $2,500 for Jayson Lugo, a 6-month-old boy currently awaiting a heart transplant at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Before the start of the race, walkers and runners enjoyed meeting Ronald McDonald while he entertained both children and adults alike with his comedic chops and engaging magic tricks. Participants also enjoyed the post-race Heart Celebration, featuring heart-healthy booths and music by a DJ.

Lastly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated, whether you participated in the race or not. The funds raised by this event surpassed our expectations, and we’re so delighted to present the Ronald McDonald House of South Florida and the Lugos with 100% of the money raised.
